I know it's been quite a while since my last post, and I have some serious catching up to do, so I thought I'd start with yesterday! I got home from a LONG day of work, and checked the mail, and was so excited to find a package in the mail from my mom with the curtains that she made for me! I couldn't wait to get them hung up, so that's the first thing I did when I got inside. They look awesome and I love them, thanks mom! (and thanks to my cousin, Krysta for the idea!). They are in the room I like to call our "office" although neither of us are actually ever really in there doing "office" stuff. We do have a bookshelf in there tho, which I love too, we got it from Costco (Costco also rocks the house). I'll have to take more pictures, but here is one for now:
Now I just need to invest in those nice faux wood blinds!
Here is a picture of our front room (and Jeremy), I have realized that curtains really make a lot of difference in a room. I have also realized that so does paint! That just goes on the list of all of my many things to do . . . I do love working on our house tho, it makes me feel happy!
On a different note, between my long day of work and checking the mail . . . I was shopping for my future sister-in-laws bridal shower gift. I was kind of in a stressed-out mode from work, and a little grumpy, but by the end of my shopping stops, I was in the best mood! For her shower, we were each assigned rooms, and I got the GARAGE of all things. At first I wasn't sure what to do, but after talking to some creative friends and family, I started getting some great ideas for some awesome "bridal shower garage" gifts. I had the best time shopping and getting everything! I am so excited for her to get it and I have to say THANKS for getting married so I could go shopping and de-stress!! (and sorry I'm going to miss out on Saturday)! If I can, I'll try and post a picture after I give it to her. I will give one hint . . . it involves tools, very garage-like, don't you think?
Alright, stay tuned for more updates to come . . . Happy Friday!

The curtains look great. Isn't house decorating fun?
The curtains are so cute! I want some curtains. Actually, I have some but I'm too darn lazy to put them up. That's what men are for.
Curtains make a HUGE difference don't they!?! I'm glad I gave you a little inspiration, but I'm jealous your mom made them for you! My mom would have laughed her head off at me if I hinted for her to make me some curtains, I guess I shouldn't say that because she did make both of my boys bed skirts for me and Drew's curtains. (I loved getting that package in the mail too!). Moms are the BEST! I want to see more pictures of your house as you finish things.
